Hi,
I'm a student Computer Systems Engineeer at Adelaide University. My programming experience is not exactly vast. Up unitl now I have been using JAVA and an Assembly language called DLX, used at my uni. This year I have had to learn C for a subject I am doing in my third year. It looked like it was going to be simple like JAVA but when I started trying to write, that theory went right out the window.
I have attached a copy of a C file I am working on for an assignment. It has 3 seperate tasks within it which are labelled. I know tasks 2 and 3 look horrible, I haven't really sat down for long on them. My first ever question is, what is wrong with my task 1??? I keep getting 0's for my temp variable at run time but I can't see a problem. I'm sure this will stick out like a sore thumb to almost anyone on here, but gotta learn somewhere right? :P

wow ... u program using ASM and u say you're experience is not vast :D you're a modest one :) really, I would wish I'd knew at least C or C++ :)
