Anyone have any idea when the new World of Warcraft expansion is coming out? I've heard this month and then I've heard December.

I don't think they have a specific day yet. All I've seen for it is Q4. So I doubt it'll be this month, as they'd probably have nailed down an exact date by now.

Why would they? Last I heard they had 7 million players. Look at the numbers:
$15 per month to play
7,000,000 * $15 = $105,000,000 per month!!
It would be bad business to shut something generating that much per month down. That is more than the plant I work at makes per year.

It is a business. Because people are vulnerable enough to become addicted to a game is not a valid reason to stop selling the game. Using that logic alcohol, tobacco, coffee, and prescription drugs should not be sold either.

I agree. You could do something productive to improve you life, instead you are wasting your time playing a game. However, I do play games so I can't really talk. :)
