When TcM asked if there’s a good Sniper Game I suggested him World War II Sniper. In a way he remembered me the game so I downloaded it. After installation It showed me the error that a newer DirectX version is required. I had DirectX 9 installed(the version that the game required) so I didn’t know what to do. I installed the DirectX that was included in the ISO but got the same error again. I decided to download DirectX 10 but Microsoft's page forced me to download the genuine plug-in but I didn’t want to because I’m using a pirate copy of Windows XP so I downloaded it from a torrent. After installation tons of viruses and *hit got in my laptop. I don’t really know what NOD32 was doing at that moment but I was terribly nervous. Some “AntiVirus” applications installed too and they want money “to remove” these things. I installed BitDefender and it found some of them but couldn’t remove them. I thought of installing Kaspersky 9 IS but I think I’m formatting the HDD. I have Ubuntu 4.08 and WinXP dual-boot but I don’t use Ubuntu much because the Wireless doesn’t work well when there’s weak signal(don’t know why).

My question is WHY ANYONE REPORTS THESE SITES? I mean they put viruses on your computer and force you to use their software. As I have seen there are tons of sites like these.

Looking forward to comment this thread.

I wish you all the best,
Dren

I've seen some warnings in the past about this stuff. Generally, a reputable company can clean this nonsense off, but lots of users are NOT tech-savvy, they are the people who fall for it.

Yeah, you probably should buy the games. I used to download games until my ISP got mad at us for it. If your going to download games, scan them with an anti-virus and actually maybe buy the game. :D

I don’t think that will stop me downloading warez. Indeed, even if I buy stuff like games and software in my country they are all warez(I mean in the stores). Thanks anyway for suggestions :D

@XaNaX: Thanks for your binary signature XaNaX, I really deserve that, I spent more than 30 seconds of my life to decode it and the message was… Nice :D

Same here :D I have been in dat business for few years now :D
My principle is: "Why you have to buy it when you can download it." ;)
But if you liked that game/program/movie.. Then buy it :)
