Radakan.org is a single-player RPG in a dark and dynamic fantasy-setting, driven by a freedom-of-choice environment, with focus on true role-playing instead of combat.

Programming: Main: Java; NetBeans. Scripting: Python; Jython.
Engine: jMonkeyEngine v2.0
Libraries: Neakor's MD5 Importer, FengGUI
In-house Tools: WorldTool, Preview Tool, Ulelo.org (TBA).
Modeling Tools: Cinema4D*, Blender, Maya, 3ds Max. These are our supported model formats.
* Our Lead Artist uses Cinema4D

  • Java Game Programmer
    "At least ~1 year of extensive Java experience. 3D or game programming expirience recommended but not required. Would work on an entity system and other essential gameplay features like dialogue and user interface. Experience with AI is a plus."

Well, if you're looking for a more complex explanation, our lead programmer would be the one to do it, so I'll haul him in for you if you wanna get more technical.

But quite basically, those three top pictures you see up there are made mostly thanks to jMonkeyEngine (v2.0 alpha) and the additions of our own lead programmer. That last picture is rather outdated, but those two first ones are early previews of our WorldTool, an inhouse terrain editor that we'll be using to easily shape the levels in our game.

The graphics aren't that top notch, really. Might wanna check on those too.

Heh, sure, we'll "have a look at that". Keep in mind though that this game is still in its alpha stages, and also, graphics will hardly be one of our main concerns as we're putting gameplay first, or rather; playable.
