If Vista wouldn't try to protect me from EVERYTHING, it wouldn't bother me too much.

What error message is that? What games don't work? All my games that worked on XP, worked with Vista.

Why not good for games?

Side-Note: I DON'T love Vista, in fact I found that article hilarious, but it is not bad... after some updates and tweaks.

disabled, you give us to much credit, I'm to lazy to look up how to do that for vista ;) besides sometimes it is a good thing. As for the games. Medel of houner (i belive pacific asault, i belive they have a vista verasion out now but i don't want to buy a new copy) , Wolfenstein ET , Quake 4 (quake 3 arna works FTW) , and a couple of others i don't remember because i never played them much anyway.

I have been using Vista now for about 6 months. I loved it at first, but as time goes by I long for the bygone days of XP where things actually worked 100% of the time and it was rather fast at doing so.

Vista bogs down at the oddest moment.

I would love to figure out a way to disable that annoying feature vista has of taking 5 minutes to open a dir that has like 1000 images in it. Even if you have the view set to list or details it still builds that dang image db every time you reboot. XP Did the same thing but it only did it once and then added to it over time.

Anyone have any idea how to do that? My option of Vista would change if I could get rid of that problem
