Hi, I am a young (soon-to-be) Freshman in High School, I have only 1 year of School Experience in Programming on MicroWorlds EX Robotics, I want to learn a good programming language, I hope to learn here what language i should start on, how to start it and possibly help others in the years to come. My main reason for joining this forum is to learn where to start (What Language, What to Learn on,Etc.) and getting my foot off the ground, If possible can you direct me to a forum where I can ask/find information on my main concern? Anyway, I look forward to talking to you all over the next few months.
Hi Programming World

Hi, you should learn C or C++.

I agree with MeTh0dz.
There's also other good languages around, so if you could give us some information about what you want to do with your programming language, we could suggest a language that may suit your needs better. Choosing a language is almost a science itself. We've had some heavy discussions here on CodeCall.

Welcome :D
Common beginner programming languages are e.g.
C/C++ (hard)
Java (medium)
VB (easy)
C# (medium)
HTML (easy)
With my opinion on difficulty/learning curve in parentheses. HTML is for web only, notice. All have their advantages/disadvantages. If you can make it, I suggest C. And get a good eBook/book no matter what language you choose.
Good luck

I started with python then moved to C#( I'd suggest first) then move to the other C's. But I'm actually taking a Basic Class, LOL.
