I am kinda pissed, thought id make a random thread about it, I signed up on 300zxclub.com and made my signature my website, then made a thread about buying a 300zx, with detailed information, and a link to pictures, then I get a PM from the owner of the site telling me if I dont remove the link out of my sig, he will remove it for me, I need to pay to have it in there..

Im not trying to argue, but why cant I have a simple link in my own signature? its just a signature, I mean... you have 2 links, cant I have one? its a legal site, and I made it. I dont get why I cant advertise my hard work.
because people pay to advertise here, thats why. ;) Please remove it.
people pay to advertise in there own signature? Where in your TOS does it say you need to pay to have a link in your own sig..
because I said so, thats why. a link to your Z or other personal stuff is acceptable. this however, is spam.

whats the screenname of the owner of the site?

interesting, your join date is a year after it started, brb, got some PM's to do
PM away. Since you didn't do as I asked, I will now do it for you, as well as remove your spam thread from the lounge.

Good day.

I told him I would bring him more traffic than he brings me, becuase they visit my site once from the forum, then visit the forum from my site alot...

he told me not to bash him on his own site or ill be banned... wow

update: the other mod said that because I downloaded a glype script, that makes me a script kiddie, the fact is... I edited it more than anyone else has ever edited a glype script.. its hardly a glype proxy anymore.. I said whats the difference between me downloading a glype script, modifying it, uploading it, and calling it my site, and you downloading a vbulletin script, uploading it, and calling it your site, we must both be script kiddies..

waiting to get banned.

Wow that's ridiculous every site I go to, i put links in my sig except this site I didn't but yeah forums do have stupid rules sometimes.

From a forum I go to:

Quote

A signature is a short piece of text that is automatically added to the end of your posts. The maximum length of a signature is 250 characters. HTML formatting inside signatures is not allowed. All of the above rules apply to the content of your signature.

Quote

You are fully responsible for your own account and protection of your password. Statements such as "My friend/sister/brother/dog was using my account." are not acceptable as an explanation for the violation of any rule. If you share your account with someone and they break the rules, it will be treated the same as if you broke the rules yourself.

This isn't stupid or anything like that but I find it amusing. :)

Quote

**MOD post**

It is inappropriate to post links (or URL addresses) for unrelated websites, as stipulated in the forums rules. There may be no problem with the posted website, but it's not permitted to post it.

If you needed to pay for a signature link they shouldn't allow you to add one. I don't understand why he would call you a script kiddie though. I thought this term was only relevant for hacking.

Yeah I thought so too. There are tons of scripts for free and for sale, there is nothing wrong with it.

But yeah... I agree, in that case they too are script kiddies :) because they use vB.

Found this in the FAQ on the site you mentioned:

What are signatures?

'Signatures' contain information that you want to include at the bottom of all your posts. This might include pictures, links to your site(s), quotes, etc.

so you got in trouble even though their own site says your allowed to have a link?
