I'm a Computer Engineer that has been working in the field for almost 10 years now. I have worked mostly in VB6, but with my new job and finally getting into some VB .NET/Oracle developement.
I'm here to see if I can help anyone out, or perhaps occasionally ask some questions of my own!
Hey

The company uses VB .NET as a standard, although from what I understand, C# and VB .NET are fairly similar now. I did some C++ development in my college days, and have to use javascript from time to time, so am not entirely unfamiliar with the general syntax.
If anything, I think I might be better off learning VB .NET first, and then migrating into C#. Baby steps!

Welcome :D
VB.net is a lot of fun, I haven't tried C# yet but it's probably just as fun as VB.NET :D

Hey adora25, welcome to CodeCall! Oracle development huh - That doesn't sound like fun. I've done some basic reports and testing software with .NET and Oracle although I used C# or C++.NET. Anyway, glad to have you at CodeCall!

The great thing is, once you know the .NET classes and objects, you can just learn the new syntax and start coding straight away (like I did).
