I have no idea, but they did. I saw the HTML book she was teaching us out of and it was so old LOL It was one of the HTML for dummies books from a long time ago.

Teaching HTML, might as well start with the standards now, to avoid having to ditch bad habits later.

It's kind of silly though, they might as well teach us the latest XHTML standards now so we don't have to ditch the old habits. :D
