I'm finally getting rid of this 2 1/2 year old laptop I have and getting a new one. Tell me what you think of the specs (click here for specs). Here are the specs for my current laptop:

  • Dell Latitude D810
  • Intel M Processor 2.26GHz
  • 2Gb Ram
  • Radeon Mobile X600 128mb Video Card
  • 120Gb HD @ 7200 RPM

This thing hangs up more often than works.

Laptop seems fine, a little better than mine is.

I replied on the blog about the server.

Wow nice specs for a laptop. If I was going to buy a new laptop for fun, I'd probably buy the eeepc it has linux out the box come on guys what more do want lol. You can also install windows xp on it. I know the specs are not that good but from a pentesting point of view for a network admin, it can be kinda good. ;)

So far I really like the new laptop. The display is perfect and the entire machine is extremely quiet.

I bet it is fast. The stats are quite good.

Does it get hot? What is the average CPU temp?

Wow! Great specs you got there! How much did it cost you (in USD$)? Well for me it is definitely cool, but then again as the experts say, it would depend on the application or to where you are going to use your laptop. But having a good specs is always cool man! :)

Right at $2,800. Fortunately, my work pays for it.

Wow that's expensive! For a little better specs than mine, it's $780 more! But then.. yours is a Dell....

We also have a company contract with Dell which lowers our price. It actually only cost my company $2,200.
