NEW Acer 5920-6864 Laptop 3GB Ram Dual Core Notebook PC - eBay (item 320248323608 end time May-10-08 11:47:56 PDT)

I plan on throwing in more ram and maybe a bigger hard drive.

Do you think its a bad idea to install ubuntu on this?

No - after all, Ubuntu is similar to Windows! Ha ha!

Are you sure there's room in the case for more RAM or another hard drive?

not another hard drive, just a better one, and it can hold 4gb of ram.

Seems like a nice laptop, and yes, installing Ubuntu and riding yourself of any Microsoft crapware is never a bad idea.

It seems pretty good, but I would never buy that.... the specs are quite low for my needs.

I wouldn't buy it either, as I know that phpforfun's previously owned it...

For a laptop, how are the specs low? I mean its not nearly a match to my desktop, but its nice..

Like I said, upgrade the hard drive, add another gig of ram, and its set!
