Hey there,
Please refer to the following URL:
Holland Michigan Real Estate
My client is currently ranked second in the search results for this term.
How does the first result have sub-results such as Holland Developments,
Vacation Rentals, Rental Property, and Read Blog?
How does my client get sub-results like this? Is there something I should be doing? Any advice regarding this issue is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Sincerely,
Travis Walters

If you look at this search term: programming forum - Google Search
You will notice that this site has those same links under it. I don't know how they got there but I can tell you they got there after I added a site map. Maybe this has something to do with it.

You're so lucky - I can barely find my site with Google, except it I actually search it out precisely... then again, I don't have anything interesting on it - it's mainly a personal site - so I don't mind.

You just have to keep trying and define a keyword/phrase that you want to get into the top 10. Don't pick one that is saturated (like "Programming").

Then your website is blank? You have a personal website so there is no purpose in promoting it but for a real website, like the original question, then you would have a keyword.

If a site becomes popular enough, I believe the sub-results will occur. I believe when that happens, Google considers you an authority website, so it definitely is a good thing.

I was reading.. I forgot where... It all depends on the way you structure your menu, and I think you have to add what DevilsCharm said too

Just found this on Google Webmaster tools:

Sitelinks are additional links Google sometimes generates from site contents in order to help users navigate your site. Google generates these sitelinks periodically from your site's contents.
Because we generate sitelinks dynamically, this list can change from time to time.

The workings of many Google algorithms, including Sitelinks, are kept secret to discourage people from manipulating the rankings, but we can still look at examples and try to understand where Sitelinks come from. I've worked on a number of sites with Sitelinks, and these sites are similar in the following ways:
- Site ranks first for the keyword(s) that generate the Sitelinks listing
- Easily spiderable, structured navigation
- Fairly high natural search traffic
- High click through rates from the search results page
- Useful outbound links
- Inbound links from high quality sites
- Site age is several years or older
