I don't know if you all noticed (maybe you didn't visit at that time) but CodeCall was hacked. I went to school, normally, took out my laptop, connected to the internet (lately it seems like my school allowed internet access to laptop users) and the first site I typed was forum.codecall.net and it said that the server was mis configured... so I visited the CodeCall homepage, CodeCall Programming and I realized it was hacked. See the attached picture, I must say, the image is kinda cool, but hey, this is hacking, I bet from a script kiddie.

Anyways I want to say that we are doing everything possible to avoid this from happening. So if any users, I bet there are many experienced users here, have any ideas to avoid this another time, please do post them. Maybe the Admin will see a good one and maybe we can implement it.

Thanks.

I also have a screenshot

f**kin script kiddies

I laughed at there gay little saying at the end.

"inside of every coder there is malicious intent, unleash yours at ***"

I gotta say, taking other peoples scripts or programs and selling them, using them, or passing them off as your own is NOT hacking.

We actually just purchased some software that will assist and protect us from these types of attacks. It had been over 170 days since the last script kiddie attack so we got soft. We have reviewed all of our security procedures and have tightened them down a bit, upgraded all software on CodeCall and TkTech is reading through the log files now trying to determine the method used.

I wonder what about CodeCall attracts these script kiddies. Perhaps it is just Joomla and its insecurities.

I told you like 1000 times. I HATE Joomla.
And it seems like CC is a great place for script kiddies, because it's a security and programming forum... you know.

I tried to login but it didn't work. I didn't get the pirate screen, though - just some Linux message that it couldn't be found.

Oh, sorry, it wasn't Linux, it was a Unix-generated page.

You probably tried to visit after the hack screen was removed and the files were all deleted resulting in a 500 server error.

It said there were two errors - one was the error you described, and I forgot what the other one was. Which files were deleted? The files uploaded by the hackers, or your own pages?
