Well, I usualy use my battery only to go from one room to another, as soon as I am in the other room I plug it back in... but when I have to move I don't want to shut it down, go to the other room etc... anyways, my question is, when my battery life is like 95%, it automatically charges to 100%, but if for example it's 98% or 96% etc... it does not charge. So I would like to set it up to start charging when it's like 50%, this will save more battery life, because it will not charge much. Is there a way to do so? I searched in the BIOS but could not find any settings related to it.
Thanks for your help.

I know of no way to do this and have never thought about it until now. It is an interesting idea. I've always assumed my battery charged even when it is at 99%. If you find the answer, let me know.

Well... IDK but mine does not charge when it's over 95%
I will, if I find the answer.

What is the exact model of the battery? I can write some code that will do this if I find the specs for it.

Some code... can't this be done via a registry tweak or a 'hack'?
I have no idea what the battery specs are.... What specs you wanna know?
If it can help, I have a Gx600-054

Well, it's healthier for a laptop battery to let it run down to nearly empty, then recharge it. This helps to keep the battery nice and rechargeable. Therefore, if you're battery's at 97%, let it down to 10%, then plug it in. :)
