i dont know if this is ryt place to post this but i just would like to introduce myself, im mario christian and i am a newbie at programming. i recently installed VB express 2008 on my pc... and would like to learn it. unfortunately dont have much experience yet... so i hope this would be a learning experience for me... i am very interested and enthusiastic on VB programming... :)

Er, no. The place to post this would be the "Introductions" forum, but don't worry. I'll say this now:

Welcome to CodeCall, Mario!

Now, back to business. VB 2008 is a great place to start - you can create fully-blown graphical applications, complete with UIs, OOP implementation and event handlers.

You'll certainly learn lots from the forums, but if you really are a newbie, then I'd strongly suggest you get a book on the subject. There are several books dedicated to VB 2008 - pick one up and get started with VB. Good luck!

Dang this was a busy day.. I banned a user, moved some threads, edited another.. hmm you guys are keeping me busy.
