I dunno. Considering you don't know any languages as of yet, I'd recommend starting off with a book such as Sams' Teach Yourself Visual Basic 2005 in 24 Hours. You can't really learn a language thoroughly in that time, but this book covers everything to get you started with VB.
After that, you can try out a new language. I'd recommend C# - it's more powerful, yet similar to VB. VB is more of a language for beginning your programming obsession, and after a while, I seemed to "grow out of it" - now, I'm a C# man, through and through.
