Will Google and Yahoo! be the best and top search engines? I mean if a new search engine opens will there be any chance for that search engine? Ot it's not even worth trying?

I think google will always be the best. With google and yahoo being so popular if a new search engine would open, it would have to have something that makes people want to use it more.

I'm very fond of all the stuff that google has to offer and any new search engine would have to make their services way better than google services to get attention. I don't think it could happen.

Google's been around for so long with so many services that I trust that I don't think i would try anything else, so I don't think another search engine would ever be better than google and wouldn't last very long simple because google and yahoo are so trusted.

These are the only search engines I use, yahoo has more stuff like yahoo finance, I know about msn search engine but I don't really like it, I find that most microsoft softwares only work really well in Internet explorer so i try not to use them.

I highly doubt that anything will ever be able to beat Google and Yahoo. They are so established and have so many services and resources... I just don't see it happening. I don't think even MSN can beat them.

Yeah... even though MSN is quite known I think they don't have any chance of beating Yahoo and Google... so I doubt a new search engine can just open and take the market....

Google will always be at the top, their products are just to well known for anything else to have a chance. I really like the online office suite with google.

Yeah I like it too, although I rarely use it.

They always try to make something original, and that's what keeps them on top.

I don't use it much but it is really interesting and works well. It's great for sending office documents to school. :D

I also like Google earth and a lot other of google products.

It is complytly posible if you make your own engine to surpass the curent search engine. Remeber Google became a billion dollar industry over night (literaly) . It would take a lot of hard work and a lot of tears and nervous breakdowns but it is plosible. As someone above said you would need to offer somthing the others don't. what you would want to do is have everything google has and then more. So lets say you just want to get on the map, maybe set a starting goal of getting 30 users a day as your first mile stone. then make a "genra" specific site, say maybe a site for gamers. If you can get your gaming site to get say 60 people and have your search engine on there the chances some one will use your engine is greater then if you just made a site for the engine, once that happens just keep making diffrent sites for specific groups (interactive comunitys tend to be the best. (like if code call had a decent serch engine i would use it rather then google or yahoo because then i could use this site for pretty much every thing i need except my email

Really, I didn't know that. I'm so used to google that I don't know much of anything about the other search engines.
