I mostly use online based clients so they have spam protection with them such as SpamGuard Plus.

but for windows you can use spamfighter

it doesn't cost that much, $34 Canadian.

I like/use SpamBayes for Outlook. It work well (uses the Bayesian spam algorithm) and is free: SpamBayes: Bayesian anti-spam classifier written in Python.

I've never found any free spam filters but I don't have one because I use gmail and they provide one.

I think that you can use GMail's too. You can forward all your emails to a gmail account, and gmail will filter them.

that's what i thought, that google would filter it before it downloads them to your computer.
