Hello,

Our company used the submission service (a third party company) to get the shrink-wrapped product listed at download sites. This procedure drove customers to our website and gave a handsome encrease in number of downloads and sales. Still, we would like to list our website at traditional catalogs and search engines. Could anyone give any idea what service will be useful here?

Thanks

We registered at Submimysoft Marketing Service.

First they checked our PAD file and corrected several issues, then they performed the submit. Actually they submitted our PAD file twice: first submission and the follow-up (submission to sites which failed to accept PAD file at first submission).

What I'm interested now is if there are any proven services which can submit our website to search engines and non-PAD catalogs?

After submitmysoft.com submission we've got a +2 PageRank but still we desire more :)

Submitting to search engines will not improve your rating plus your site will get indexed from all of the PAD links you receive so it is a waste of money. You might want to pay a service to submit to directories though. These will get you links and a higher PR.

If you have a quality software product, and you are wiling to give a percent of sales to marketeers, you should sell your software at affiliate networks like clickbank, commission junction, regnow...

I've used Regnow to both sell my software and sell other people's software. Their service and software are great.

It seems like that first thing you did worked out well. If you want to start moving up in the search engines though, pay to have your site submitted to directories.

Or submit them manually.

@Kaabi: Haven't seen you in a while! Welcome back.

Manual promotion saves money but unfortunately takes a lot of time.

It's nice to be back!
