Hello everyone,
I am currently looking for a programmer for a website, but first I need to know the basic programming there is involved behind it. The website involves basically the same things as the site: HOT or NOT dot com
I would like to know the level of the complexity involved. Please help guys!
Thanks,
Tommy F. Brasil

You will need a database and server-side scripting language. It is probably a pretty straight-foward site to construct (based on my memory from several years ago).

It's actually not complex at all, it's a pretty simple site you're talking about.
All needed is a sessions-system (for handling logged in members), some basic database functions to pull image-url's and data from the database, and ofc a function to save images and then store the url along with an ID in the database, but that's pretty much it, along with some bells and whistles.
Any decently skilled webauthor builds a site like that in a few days, if not less.

Not even, there are literally dozens of hotOrNot clones for dirt cheap prices.
IE:
*Hot or Not Script Pro Designed and Programmed.
* Hot or Not Script
* Hot or Not Image Rating
* HotScripts.com :: PHP :: Image Galleries :: Hot or Not Model Rating Script
And a further 16 pages of scripts...
