I noticed that whenever I close my laptop's lid I end up disconnected from wifi after a few seconds, which is no good, because at night if I want to leave it on to download I have to leave the lid open....

Is there a way to do leave wifi on while the lid is closed?

I went on my power plan and I selected the option that when the lid is closed it does nothing...

First of all,you don't need to close it at night, you just close the display for electric economy.
Now,if you are on Vista,i am not sure if it works the same so i will just give you the XP verion.

Go to Screen Saver on the Display Properties and select the Power Options.
In the Power Option window go to Advanced and select from there what you need.

If all the power settings are turned off,i don't see how this doesn't work.Check all the settings again,it must be there somewhere.

Well, I think the signal was just too weak. Because now that I have one at my home and the signal is excellent it's not disconnecting.
