ok guys I tried it, its good so far. Unix server is much different than I expected.
The only thing is you cant use it as a "big thumb drive", or so the tech support said. As long as everything is related to the site, it is fine

Update..
I uploaded all the files for my website, made sure the PHP works on php4 as well as 5, did some changes, and then let ppl know it was up.
I go to it this morning, and I get a 404 error, I go to log into my yahoo account and it doesnt exist..
I call tech support they say the domain is not registered, its up for grabs, and I never had an account. I have emails of activation and bank statements that proves them wrong. This is insane.
Updates soon.
Dont get yahoo

Yuck, sounds like the run around! Why didn't you get your hosting from John and Jordan?

How did you pay for the hosting? What did they say once you sent them the confirmation emails back?
And yes, you should of purchased hosting from us.

well for starters, I have a ton of ****, and I found out why they deleted my account, and it was a mistake on my part (I think, they cant tell me what term of service I violated)
Im hosting Mp3 songs for people to play, not download..
I thought it was free to listen to songs as long as they werent downloaded illegaly. However its not, you need to pay to let other ppl listen to them.
$.000762 a play, not a song, for each time someone hits the play btn, I pay.
Ill pay, just gotta find out who to pay
current songs: Virtual Euphoria

But if you don't actually own the song to begin with, your looking at possible fine between $3,000 and $30,000 per song.

wait wait, what are you talking about if I dont own the song? like if I didnt buy the song, or if I didnt make the song?

If you didn't buy the song, you are infringing on a copyright. Even if you do own the song, as you mentioned above you need a special license, or pay per song.

Well.. what's the catch..
here's the catch:
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A UNLIMITED WEBSPACE - every server's HDD is limited.. like the bandwidth is not unlimited.. one day everything will end.. ;) think about this.. i know this because i have worked in 2 hosting companies for almost 3 years.. ;)
