Hi, I am wanting to become certified in the languages i know. I want to start with the easiest, PHP. w3schools.com offers a test to become PHP certified what i want to know is will obtaining the certification from w3 school be a leginamet certification that future employers will look at or does the certification through W3 mean basicly nothing? Is there a better place to go for certification in this language?

The Zend Certification is probably the most respected PHP certification. I'm not sure the difficulty of the W3 certification, but when I looked into it, the Zend certification was very difficult.
Edit: Ouch! I just took the Zend PHP 5 Certification - Self Test and got 4 / 8.

Just took the Self Test and also receive a 4 / 8. I think the Zend certification is the professional certification you should try for. I could not find a W3 certification for PHP though. I see HTML and ASP.

Alright I will take the Zen cert, not yet i still have a lot to learn but in a couple of mounths. W3 does have PHP cert I have seen it before not sure were on the site it was, but i took the practice test and only missed one, I am not THAT good at php yet. The test was too easy is why i started this thread i din't think it could be to good of a cert when it is that easy so i figured i would ask.
Edit I went to zend and i am looking at php but i can't fined the self test could some one give me a link?
And thanks for the feed back
