I used this book for a Visual Basic I course. Besides CodeCall.net, this has been an incredible resource for making things understandable to me and I am still using the projects in its chapters to help me with other languages.
Programming in Visual Basic 2008
I am looking at getting the second book,
Advanced Programming in Visual Basic 2008
The books are pretty expensive as far as books on Amazon go, but they are staying on my desk for a while.
