What is the best way to confront a virus problem, I mean let's say I have a computer virus, and my computer goes crazy. What are the first steps/actions I should take against the virus.

I would find an anti-virus program. The first step is to find and determine what kind of virus it is. The next step is to remove the virus or at least deny the virus access to the rest of the system. Both of these steps can be done using a decent anti-virus program. If you're looking for a free one, I will suggest AVG AntiVirus.

I use AVG myself it's good. Having an antivirus is always a good thing to prevent the most common viruses.

To scan all files before opening is always the best deal,so in the future keep that in mind.
Now,just install a Anti-virus(I use NOD32 and never had any problem) and make a full scan to remove or fix corrupted files.
If it is a trojan or anything that has messed up your system configurations you can turn them back to default with a program.
