Directories are always nice way of promotion of your web site. ReekenX you can also try article promotion, blogs, news etc...
Are you signed by Google Webmaster tool? If not then do it because you will have there all statistic regarding your sites that you need.

Directories are always the first thing a new website should get. By the way TcM, those are some big directory lists.
