I find this forum very interesting and informative.
The basic reason i joined this forum is that i have a project for my university exams that i have to finish before the first week of February 2008.Hope i would get enough help from here to finish my project in time.....Thanx in advance...Looking forward to a gr8 time in this forum

Yours sincerely,
Vinay

P.S.- I would start a thread in the forum with the name SecurityAudit in which i would give details of my project ,it's advances and the problems that are being faced.

I also m a bit confused as to which language m i supposed to use for my project.
i have some of my project code in vb but i was advised to do the project in vb.net or .net framework as it would help the project with better inbuilt functions which can be put to use

Hey vinay, welcome to CodeCall. If you are using Visual Basic 2005 or 2008 then you are probably already doing your project in vb.net.

Yeah, people say it is better.. I personally prefer VB, But .net is the new 'era' of programming

I think .net is a crappy era of programming. Anyway, Hello Vinay, welcome to CodeCall!

I've to agree with Sidewinder. I don't like .NET much neither.

Welcome to CodeCall, Vinay!

Yeah I don't too... It is very insecure and unsafe. I would recommend sticking with other 'solid' languages.
