Hi all,

I am very excited to have found this site and hope to learn a lot from all of you. I am pretty new to programming. I would love to learn all aspects of programming but think I should start at what would benefit me first.

I currently work as a desktop support tech and would like to learn something that would help me benefit my day to day work. Probably something within the WSH or VBscript area. Where do you suggest I start in learning these type of languages.

Here is a pretty noob question (embarrassed to ask): Is VBscript the same as VB or similar in languages?

Later down the line I would like to learn Java and maybe Python.

No. VBscript is reffered to the language used in web, is like Javascript. VB is actually Visual Basic which is a general purpose language rather than just a scripting languages. As for learning Java and Python, I recommend to learn both. The two are great language.
