I am suprised it hasn't bee mentioned yet but I didn't see it anywhere. Anyone installed this since it release last Friday? A friend of mine has it but it didn't seem that much had changed yet to me. If you have it, post your thoughts here.

I haven't got it but have decided against buying a Mac this year thanks to the lack of Java 6. I've got a lot of mates who are dependent on Java and have spent a lot of money on Macbooks given that Java 6 was promised for Leopard. I'm glad I waited until Leopard came out, thought Apple might pull something like this. Especially with the whole iPhone business.

Without Java 6 it is irrelevant as a development platform unfortunately. All those big companies who use Java aren't going to move to Objective C and Cocoa. Just cuts off a huge market sector for Apple.

The only thing that makes it worth its outrageous price IMO is 64 bit. The rest of the features are just "cup holders".
