Well I overclocked my videocard.. and when I run benchmark tests it shows better performance, but when I run a game the FPS are the same!! Any thoughts?

Are your benchmarking tools using the same graphics vector as your game?

I'd like to try and overclock my video card -- buying a new PC in a few weeks so if I kill it, oh well.

Nah you actually can't kill it.. it won't work.. Just restart your Pc and it should get back. Well I used RivaTuner.
