Hi,

I'm looking for a programmer to work on a sports databasing venture I'm starting with a few friends.

The project mainly entails text parsing, in the sense that I want a program to read and pull data from text forms that have the same consistent formatting and language usage.

This is a paid project, but ideally I'm looking for someone who is willing to join in for the long-term as an equity sharing partner.

I'm looking especially for football fans as this project depends to a certain degree on familiarity with the sport.

The venture itself is newly formed by a group of four recent college graduates, three from Northwestern and one from Yale. We've had this idea for awhile and have been working over the past six months to fully conceptualize the idea. So in this sense we're very much 'new' and in the first phase of actual development. One of us is in China for the year and will have access to a pool of cheap programmers, so we're essentially looking for a head programmer - a guy/girl who can lead and oversee the coding aspect of the venture.

If you're interested please email burningdowntrees a t gmail.com

Well my knowledge on this subject matter is pretty vast, as you may have concluded from my reply to your other topic. If you could PM me more details on what would specifically be required of me, and what you are willing to pay - I might be interested.

Plus I'm an avid football fan - Go Packers!
