As the title says I am look for help with a huge project for myself. I Have no experiance on programing, but I do have experiance with cars. I took it upon myself to learn how to crack the OEM programing and remap the ECU with new programing for more performance and various other features. First I would like to know what tyoe of programing automotive ECU's utilize and then would like to know anything that can get me pointed in the right direction. Like books to ready and so forth. I am in school to gain my ASE Master certification in auto, diesel and industrial tech and will go threw courses that explain alot about how the ECU's work. I however like to start working on my programing skills now and not wait til I go threw that portion of my schooling. What I am trying to achieve is the ability to write custom software for automotives for when I open my Tuner shop. Any asistance would be more than great because simply knoing how work on cars is not and will not be good enough for me because I need a new challenge.
