Is Windows NT operating system mainly meant for the networking the PC's. I have seen it as not of much user friendly as other Operating systems of Windows. Is it really so ???

I don't think it was ever meant to be for networking specific. Windows NT is still heavily used. An example would be Windows Vista, which uses Windows NT 6.0.
