At stage 1 of a website, the host offer's microsoft frontpage for free but it does not do error/re-direct. Question: What is a good web-builder/web-design application is provide by any website.

I think what you're seeing is that your host will enable frontpage extensions; you would still use frontpage on your own computer to make the websites and upload them. Most web design software would make HTML files so it wouldn't be a concern.

Yeah I tried using HTML files and it's working. Why don't you go for a text file and then save it as index.html because this is how things work fine.

Dreamweaver is one of the best web design programs, it's much better than FrontPage although I think it takes more practice to get used to.

Well can't you insert your own code into FrontPage to make the redirect?
