Ping to Google: Average 84ms

DSL: Extreme Version, Local Telephone Company
Ping to Google: Average 80ms

Local Cable:

ISDN: 128k 2 channel connection
Average Google Ping: 90ms

Verizon Wireless (1 Bars, EVDO Rev 0 Network): Sierra AC595U USB Modem
Google Ping Average: 204ms

Verizon Wireless (4 Bars, EVDO Rev 0 Network, -65 DB): Sierra AC595U USB Modem

Wow is the wireless connection that bad? I thought it was one of the fastest.

Well, that is one bar in a bad area. I'm going to test today with 2+ bars. Yesterday with 2 bars I got around 700kbs up and 600kbs down.

Ow sorry, I missed the 1 Bar thing. It's like sharing my internet over bluetooth to my PDA, the further I go, the slower my internet on the PDA is.

Nice analogy. I'm still trying to find better spots at my house. I've found one spot with 2 bars but it dropped to one bar as soon as I moved half an inch and I haven't been able to get that second bar back.

Hehe, I'm really glad for it myself! :-)
I actually have 20mbit, but for some reason you never uses all of it. I actually, don't know why? Is it just some kind of offer the ISP is giving, like "Get 20mbit," but you're actually getting lesser. Or is it something completely different? Can someone clear it up for me, I've never been good with networks in general.

Well it is supposed to give you the MAX, but when I had the 4Mbit Internet I never really reached that speed!! Now I am on cable with 2Mbit and I get even more than that. Well the only explanation that I can tell you is that it might be that the server you are getting data from is too far away?? I don't know!
