I'm planning to start a new tech/mobile/tutorial/general blog. What you suggest... should I use light colors as themes or dark ones?
Thanks.
What is best?

Personally I prefer light themes, and I think a lot of people does too.

Light colors are good. The traditional information color is "blue" so you may want to consider this.

Well I made this template, I have done the photoshop work, now I try the PHP work.

OR

What do you think about something like that? You suggest different colors? Any Comments? or Maybe they are a little dark? because of the black background?

Impressive looking! I prefer the first but the second looks good as well. You should allow the user to change the colors between the two. This would be fairly simple using JavaScript and CSS.

Well now I'm working on the Green One and experimenting with it, when it will be ready I will make another theme with the blue one, it should be simple to let the user choose as it is a wordpress blog, I bet I can find a plugin that does that. And really, you like it? Thanks! But I modified it, I made the left menu on the right and I narrowed it a little bit.

Well it is finished, check it out TheComputerMaster I know it is a little dark, but I had no cool ideas on how to make light ones. I'm thinking of making other ones.. But for now this should suffice... And as always IE didn't display it correctly, so I ended up with 2 CSS files, one for IE and another for the other browsers.. dam IE!

Neat, you've got a (new) website!
Honestly, I don't like the design at all. No offense.
It's too big and clumsy for my taste, and there's some big spaces between the different parts of the design. It looks like the style is screwed in FireFox as well.
Sorry, this is not my style, but it's probably good if you like that kind of design. As you saw, Jordan thought it was cool in his last post in this thread. :-)

Can you please post a snapshot? Because for me it is displayed perfectly!! Can't understand what is screwed for you.. Perhaps I should find a theme online..?
EDIT: Duh, anyways I changed my mind and found some cool themes, and will still search for others. I will chose the best but I removed my own theme....

I like the one on the website and I like the two posted above. Which are you going to use?
