Well I thought that we could determine which web browsers and OS are used mostly, so I went to the stats of my major 3 websites and took a snapshot of this (find it attached) please comment on what you think, and if you have a website post your stats so we can compare and make a decent discussion with proofs. As far as I can see IE is the top browser and FF is the second and Windows is by far the mostly used OS!

Before I even looked at your screenshots I knew it would be IE and Windows. I think the general population is happy using the default browser with the default OS their computers come with.

Yeah I know that, but why would people still use IE? Perhaps because they are too afraid to change?

To be afraid of change, they have to first be aware of the possibility of change. Most people don't know/care that there is another option.

Well who doesn't know that there is better then Microsoft? Who doesn't know that Firefox exists? People (Geeks) talk about it everywhere!! But newbies don't care as long as they browse the internet, they don't care about security and other issues! That's the problem I think.

Most non-technical people I have met are not aware of another option like WingedPanther stated. I can tell you that 50%+ of the people who visit CodeCall use IE and most people that end up here are very technical (I would assume).

So you are saying that even as this is a community with all these geeks and 1337 still your stats show that IE is mostly used? Hmm I would say.... WHAT!?

Internet Explorer is mostly used by Webmasters, because the Internet Explorer shows easy all errors on Page, the Mozilla, Opera, and other disclude the Netscape don't show all errors, the Netscape shows all the Page Errors more than Interent Explorer, so the Internet Explorer is the one of best browsers.
For the best Operation System used in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 must be Windows XP series because, the Windows XP is more useful, it's more cheaper and it will never forget, but the one of must reasons to use XP is because the Windows Vista requests a powerful system!
