I have pentium processory 2.9 ghz with 120gb hdd and 256 RAM. And it is quite slow. My friends says, 256 RAM is not enough. The softwares I use is photoshop , dreamweaver and flash. Other are small software. Is this RAM which is making my site slow?

Well I have a 3Ghz 160gb hdd and 1Gb RAM.. well I would help you more if you can tell me what video/graphic card you have. Because with a small graphic card XP runs a little slow, I know because when I install a fresh copy of XP and the video card is not installed it runs a little slow.. so if you can tell me that I will be able to help you but 99% it is the RAM, because 256Mb of ram is the MINIMUM REQUIREMENT to run XP, recommended is 512Mb.. but I have 1Gb and it runs perfectly.. so If you have a 64Mb or 128Mb Video card then it's just your RAM.. upgrade that and you will see the difference! (as I saw from 512mb to 1gb, photoshop loads in half the time now and it's more fast with less freezing)

Just upgrade your RAM to 512MB or 1GB and upgrade your Video Card!

Well for the video card, there is no need. As I told in my last post, 64Mb runs XP just fine. But of course a better one, more then 64Mb would really help. But there is no need.

Go on Your Desktop, Press Right click go to properties, then settings and select Advanced then go to the Adapter tab and you will see something saying 'Memory Size'

Hope it helped.

Right click at Desktop, select Properties, go to Settings section, there you should see some informations about your Video Card!
