I have a cable here that says UTP. I have no idea what that means but it looks like a 10BASE-T cable (or 100BASE-T). Can anyone tell me what UTP actually means?

UTP is Unshielded Twisted Pair. It is the most common form of twisted pair wiring, because it is less expensive and easier to work with than STP (Shielded Twisted Pair).
