I seem to have the component installed. How to I get it to display in a content item? I have not been able to find any documentation on this component.

You have to link to it in your menu items. Edit one of your menus (such as main) and click "New". Once there select Component Item and then ionFiles.

TkTech was working on documentation, I'm not sure if he completed it.

I'm still on vacation, its hard enough trying to post anything on a cell phone - I'll try to get it to you when I find a net cafe.

I installed the component, but when i want to add it to a menu and i click on component item, i can't see this component.

Could you give us the URL of your site?
Also note, in the upcoming v3 of ionFiles, a help file is included.
