So, if you can reveal this information please do so. How did you choose your password(s)?

I have several ranging from easy to hard.

The easiest I use on websites I don't care if they see my password. It is an object I use to own.

The hardest is an acronym surrounded by (#!@%^& symbols. I use it for computer passwords and such.

What about you guys?

Well I use one master password, used on most websites, containing letters and numbers and several characters, then i use other short passwords with less numbers and letters and then i even use short passwords containing only letters for places that I don't care too much about.

I have a couple of passwords, most of which I don't remember. None of my passwords are very complex and I use know method to create them.

I'm not sure why using an acronym would be would be the hardest - perhaps the hardest 'easiest to remember' password, but why wouldn't a completely random password me more secure than a common set of letters?

One of my passwords is a combination of my favorite color, favorite football team, and the year I made the password.

Another password is just a random set of numbers and letters

And another password is the first 10 digits of my Windows XP CD key, only because I've reinstalled it so much, I remember the key

Actually, I can only remember very few of my passwords in the head. I'm using a password generator for all my passwords, so I'm not using a single password on two websites. So I'm saving all my passwords in a file. Maybe I'm just a bit paranoid.

Many peoples says, when they hears that, that it would be fatal if my computer went down. Yes, it would -- but I've of course backups of all the passwords, both in paper form (IRL) and on other computers too.

I've been thinking about to get a main-password, it would make my life much easier. Then I can login whenever I want to, without my file. lol.
