What if I submit an article to somewhere and just make www.mywebsite.com, but there will be NO LINK, just as normal text, that would not be valid as a backlink right?

It will NOT be valid. I've discovered this the easy way. Ha, you thought I'd say the hard way, but nope, the easy way. I was told. By numerous. People.

Yeah... well, you definitely need a blue hyperlink to get link credit, and it also must not have the nofollow tag.

Yes, I know about the nofollow, but I was not sure about if google spider would read normal text URL's.
