I'm thinking about getting a new PC and want the MAC OS. With these machines I can also put Windows on it. The thing is, are these machines good? Are they fast?

Is MAC os that good? I've never really used it before. Give me your opinions!

At its core, MAC OSX is one of the BSD's (I think FreeBSD), so it's a *nix under the hood. That'll give you better stability/security than Windows. As to whether you would do better with OSX, *BSD, or Linux, I can't really say.

Well as far as I know MAC is way better then intel, but be careful when it comes to compatibility! MAC is a world on it's own!

Well, correct me if I am wrong... but isn't MAC now using Intel? Your title may be a little misleading.

I would go with a normal Intel based computer because MAC has hardware lacking in certain areas like more than 7200 RPM Hard Drive. A simple 10,000 RPM Hard Drive will provide 100% increase in speed that you will see. You could always build your own MAC/Windows PC :)

Well yeah I heard that MAC joined Intel for some research etc... but they still lack compatibility.

Not just for research - all new MACs ship with Intel processors now. That is how you can get a 'hackintosh'.

I say go with MAC!

Macs are good when it comes to laptops. If you want a bigger computer you will need to pay more for less.. :(

What you mean 'pay more for less'? You mean that you will pay more because MACS are expensive? with less things? or I'm misunderstanding?
