An impossible algorithm?

Hey all...

Please provide me with another alternative with which I need to attain the following...

I have 12 numbers, each less than 300

1) Need only 9 numbers or less to represent those 12.
2) Each number in the derived numbers should be less than 300 too.
3) Those derived numbers should be able to derive the original numbers back.
4) Need the original numbers back in order (optional)

I need this for VB NET. or if you have a better language with which this can be supported, please do tell me. I can program, but failed to get this algorithm.
