I'm getting more RAM for my computer, and I'm going to get it from Best Buy. I have a few questions.
1. Best Buy does have RAM chips, don't they?
2. What information do I need to give them so I get the proper chip (like computer type, serial numbers, stuff like that).
3. How do I install the RAM? I think getting them to come over is pretty expensive, and I've been told it is easy.
4. Anything else I need to know?
Hope somebody responds soon!

Before you upgrade you should be sure you have available slots on your mother board to upgrade. You want to also check the maximum RAM your computer supports. (If its only 2gb buying having anymore than that is a waste of money)
Yes I believe Best Buy does sell RAM but since there are so many types of RAM they may or may not have your type. Pretty much all you need to know is the type of ram and the name of it. The type would be (DDR, DDR2, SDRAM, EDO, ect...) and the name would be something like PC2700. So you would go to Best Buy and look for DDR PC2700.
You would install RAM just as you would any other "card." Just find the appropriate slot, line up the pins, and press the RAM into the mother board making sure to apply pressure on both sides equally.
If you don't have any luck from Best Buy, I've bought RAM from crucial.com before and didn't have any problems!
