As title says, would you invest/buy a PC or buy a console? I would buy a PC, i can still play games, and with even better graphics in my opinion, besides that I can make projects, browse the net, etc.. etc.. the PC is my choice I think it's the best tool one can have :)

I agree, a pc is a good tool, which can also become a bad habit.

These days, you can get a PS2 style controller for a PC and have the best of both worlds, though I find mouse+keyboard is usually a better interface. I just like my PC games better.

A PC (a good PC) costs a lot more than a console though so it isn't really equal.

I'd choose a self-built (or alienware) computer that costs $2,000-3,000 any day but I'd choose a console over an e-machine or something similar.

Well I got my PC (a good PC) much more than a console! But still I would prefer to buy a PC rather than a Console (my Pc costs something like $1500 so it's way more than a console lol)

Getting tons of freeware/opensource software for an XBox, etc, might be tricky. Not that I've looked. I'd factor that into the cost.

I would buy a PC and not a game console.. I think the games become outdated faster then a computer and the consoles as well..

Besides, the only kind of games I really get into are on Pogo. They are pretty nice..and once in a while..someone hits the jackpot.

I don't think invest is the right word. I'd rather get a new computer cause this one is living in slowsville.

I love games and aside from those the only thing I use my graphics card for is some amateur 3d modelling. So a console hands down.

But not just any console mind you.I would only buy a X360 right now.
