I've looked at them before and considered buying them but they are all over priced and the people are talking about "hits" rather than visitors. Never have actually bought one though. Beware of the turnkey type sites.

You could have just host them and let them go on their own of you don't like it. Anyway, Maybe Jordan'll buy them but not sure. GL.

I am still holding some items I won on ebay..but will see what I end up doing with them..Only someone with a gaming computer could handle the file size of one of them.

I realize this is an old thread but thought it might help somebody roaming around the forum.

I once bought one of those package deals on ebay that has different turnkey scripts (auctions, forums, freelance, . This was back when I still used Windows (with Apache, cygwin, MySQL, etc) and I was curious to see how these sites worked...how they were set up. I mostly wanted the scripts for study purposes...not actually to use them in a live site. 2 things about it:

1) I was sure that I had apache, php and perl set up correctly since the scripts that I was working on would run without errors. But very few of these scripts would run. I read recently that some of them you had to pay extra to get them unlocked/activated to work.

2) At one time after an antivirus update I got a trojan alert.

I'm not an expert programmer by any means but I suggest you be very cautious of these.

They were probably stolen/nulled scripts. I've seen these before and they don't always work plus some will set off AV alerts.

Makes sense. In any case, I deleted them and broke the CD. Into the garbage it went.

BTW, I haven't seen every thread in this forum, but I would just like to say I'm impressed. So far I haven't seen anyone brutally flamed. I just unsubscribed to a forum where a noob had gotten a thorough bashing. Granted that person may have needed a quick link to the rules of the forum, to a FAQ, or a canned response like another group I'm in has, but they were a bit harsh. I'm really glad I found Code Call.
