SourceForge.net: Darik's Boot and Nuke

Someone pointed me to the above link as something to use to for wiping out data..Any comments?

I think it can work as it boots by the floppy and deletes all files.

And I have a doubt that whether this software does the low level formatting or not?

Unless you really try your comment about whether software does or does not do the low level formatting holds no weight..unless you have something to support your statement:)
