The program needs to be able to store customer information and just type in the info we need like quanity etc...
any help would be great??

Hi I am looking for a simple program that can be used to print out dockets on a dot matrix printer. At the moment we are just writing the info in pen and the boss is looking to make things a bit more professional and print them out but there is no available program to do it (that i know of)
The program needs to be able to store customer information and just type in the info we need like quanity etc...
any help would be great??

Im not sure what a dot matrix printer is, but are you just looking for a program that allows you to input data on form like like you provided and store/print them? I could easily create something like this in PHP, but your probably looking more for a Windows Application?

I dont really care if is a windows application just as long as it works and it is stable. Could you give me an example of what it would look like?? I dont mind paying what would it cost for something like that??

Funny, I just got done writing a program that does this today except it was a VDA Label and printed to a thermal printer. I've also got code that does this in PHP. I can't share the code because it is copyrighted to my company now. Sidewinder, if you need any help just let me know.

If you want a web application that does this (PHP), you can message me on msn at Sidewinder@extreme-hq.com to discuss this in further detail.
If I understand everything correctly it shouldn't be a very difficult program to create and wouldn't cost much, but personally, if I were you, I would look for one built in VB or something similar, that way you avoid the whole trouble of having to use a web server and connect to the internet to run the program.

If you are interested I might be able to make you a Database. all you will need is Microsoft Access to open it, you can store and print the data. PM me if you are interested!

it is a simple program just will need a MS-Access+vb6+crystalreport
you will enter the data by using form. you then can view the report or print them by any printer connected to your computer. it is a windows application.

Well we kinda were reaching a deal but when I asked him what was his budget he never replied my PM. lol
