heh didn't find where ele i culd aks...
Ok here is my problem....I installed linux kateos...its text based, so i decidet to instal on it kde...so after updateos -ig kde i chosed kde desktop....restarted the system, but stilll i dont hawe it....and switchdesk dont work to....heh, its my first day on linux, so if someon culd explain me haw to get grapical interface on kateos, it wold be greate...

Not sure about Kateos, never heard of it until now. Once you are in the console though (command line) type "startkde" - this will bring up your xWindows environment with KDE as the manager. BTW, you did install xWindows right? I'm assuming your update manager recognized this prerequisite.

I never tried Kateos before, but I'm a little familiar with RedHat, Linpus, Ubuntu and SUSE. And also not fluent in text based environment as well. But I've used KDE environment a bit.

My suggestion is re-installing the OS with the typical settings, it may sort out the problem.
